Where to check CBSE Class 12 revised results 2026
Candidates can access the revised results and updated mark sheet through the DigiLocker result portal. The revised mark sheet is being uploaded in phases. Students whose scores change after reassessment will receive an updated numerical score sheet on the platform.
What if my score remains the same after reassessment?
CBSE has clarified that re-evaluation and verification are review processes and will not automatically lead to an increase in marks. Depending on the findings, the score may increase, decrease, or remain the same.Students who apply for verification of the observed issues and receive a ‘no change’ result will be given an opportunity to check their answer sheets at the concerned CBSE regional office. A timetable for this process will be announced soon.
Does a change in score mean there is an error in the assessment?
Not necessarily, according to CBSE.The board said changes in scores following re-evaluation are a normal part of the review process and occur every year. The purpose of reassessment is to ensure that answers are assessed against the prescribed marking scheme and that any genuine differences are corrected.
Validate differences between observed issues and re-evaluation
CBSE explains that both the processes serve different purposes.Verification of observed problems allows students to report physics or procedural issues in scanned answer sheets. These may include:
- Missing page
- Missing supplementary answer sheet
- Missing map or chart
- Page blurry
- An answer book belonging to another candidate
- Assessment using incorrect marking scheme
Re-evaluation, on the other hand, allows students to request re-evaluation of a specific question after getting a scanned copy of the answer sheet. Both facilities are available for one or more subjects.
How CBSE ensures a fair review process
The board said the entire process was handled with the utmost care and transparency.Experts from Indian Institute of Technology (personal income tax) Madras and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur are involved in monitoring the process. Each answer sheet submitted for re-evaluation is checked by two assessors. Officials from the CBSE headquarters and regional offices have also been deputed to oversee the review process. The committee added that all complaints about missing pages, blurred copy and related issues were thoroughly reviewed.
Lower student fees
CBSE has significantly reduced the fees for the review process. The fee for obtaining a scanned copy of the answer sheet has been reduced from Rs 700 to Rs 100. The fee for verification of observed questions has been reduced from Rs 500 to Rs 100, while the re-evaluation fee has been reduced from Rs 100 to Rs 25 per question.
Refund policy explained
Students who make double or overpayments will receive a refund directly into their source account.CBSE also announced that candidates whose scores improved after re-evaluation will get a refund of the re-evaluation fee paid by them.
