Citroën has released another teaser of its upcoming refreshed electric hatchback. The updated model is expected to be called eC3X, following the revised naming strategy of the French brand that has already been introduced in models such as C3X, Aircross X and Basalt X.The latest teaser suggests that the electric hatchback will receive a noticeable styling refresh. While the overall silhouette is expected to be familiar, the updated model will feature a redesigned front bumper with a silver skid-plate style element. Citroën is also expected to update the lighting package by introducing LED DRLs and LED fog lamps, replacing the simpler setup offered on the current eC3.Other exterior changes could include a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels and redesigned exterior mirrors with integrated turn indicators. The cabin is also likely to benefit from several feature additions. The carmaker could offer a leather finish for the steering wheel and parts of the dashboard, with ambient lighting. Features such as automatic climate control, cruise control with a speed limiter, fast charging USB Type-C ports and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are also expected. The existing 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to be carried over. It is expected to continue to offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity. Higher variants could also get a 360-degree camera and a new 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster.Under the skin, the updated electric hatchback is not expected to receive any major mechanical revisions. The eC3X is likely to keep the existing 29.2 kWh battery paired with an electric motor that produces 57 PS and 143 Nm of torque. Citroën currently claims a driving range of around 320 km on a single charge, while the top speed is rated at 107 km/h.Once launched, the refreshed Citroen eC3X will continue to compete in India’s growing mass market electric vehicle space, taking on rivals such as the Tata Punch EV and the recently updated Tiago EV.
