Citroen e-C3X launched in India: Price, Baas, features explained

Citroen India has launched the new electric Citroen e-C3X in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is also offering the 2026 eC3X with an optional Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan that brings the purchase price of the vehicle down to Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage is charged at Rs 2.26 per km. Interested customers can book the EV online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Shipments are expected to begin soon. Citroën eC3X gets exterior and interior revisions, along with additional convenience features, and now gets even more range. It is offered in three variants – Live, Live (O) and Shine. The electric hatchback competes with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet in the Indian market. Speaking first of the battery, the 2026 eC3X continues to get a 29.2 kWh battery pack, offering an MIDC-certified driving range of 325 km – an improvement of 79 km over the previous version. Transmission is sent to the front wheels through a 57 hp and 143 Nm electric motor. The EV can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 107 km/h. The eC3X supports both AC and DC charging options. A full charge from 10 percent to 100 percent takes 10 hours and 30 minutes with an AC charger, while a DC fast charger can raise the battery level from 10 percent to 80 percent in 57 minutes.

The 2026 eC3X gains several features and design updates, including LED headlights, new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and electrically folding ORVMs. It retains the V-shaped LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, body cladding, wheel arch mouldings, halogen fog lights and skid plate style bumper inserts.The cabin now features a two-tone blue and beige color scheme and leather seat upholstery, while the dashboard layout remains unchanged. New additions include a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charger, dashcam and a six-speaker JBL audio system. The dashcam and JBL setup are available as accessories.Safety features include six airbags on the top variant and four airbags on lower trims. Existing equipment, such as the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual air conditioning, rear wiper and reverse parking camera with sensors, has been carried forward.
