Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) postponed as candidates express concerns over exam date clash

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) has been postponed to July 5 amid protests by some candidates over conflicting exam dates, officials said on Tuesday.OTET is organized by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) and was scheduled to be held on June 28. However, candidates pointed out that the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has also scheduled the recruitment examination for various posts on the same day.Taking into account the concerns of the candidates, BSE decided to reschedule OTET. Officials said the exam will be conducted on July 5.As per the revised schedule, Paper-I will be held from 9 am to 11.30 am while Paper-II will be held from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.The date conflict emerged after the OSSSC examination was postponed from June 20 to June 28 due to administrative reasons. BSE has changed the OTET dates to avoid any overlap following objections from candidates scheduled to appear for both exams.
