The success also ended Suriya’s long wait for a major theatrical hit. After the great success of the film, Suriya even gifted cars to director RJ Balaji and key members of the technical team as a gesture of appreciation. As criticism of some heavy CGI scenes grew online, RJ Balaji addressed the issue in a recent interview with Galatta. Instead of avoiding the topic, the filmmaker openly explained the practical challenges the team faced. Talking about a much-discussed head replacement sequence, he said, “For a head replacement shot, it takes about eight months to do it properly. Payment must also be made in advance. Unfortunately, we can’t meet the timelines.” He further revealed that deleting the sequence was not an option as it played an important role in the film’s narrative.

What caught the attention of many people was RJ Balaji’s willingness to accept responsibility. The director admitted that some parts did not meet the expected quality standards and said that the team was fully aware of the shortcomings. “We have to accept our mistakes. According to him, the team intended to use a small shot in that part to manage the technical limitations. “We expect this scene to be discussed after the release of OTT because we know it is not fully implemented,” he said. He explained that action scenes usually involve the lead actor and stunt doubles, which sometimes creates lighting and continuity issues.Even though there was a lot of criticism on the internet about the movie, RJ Balaji’s clear explanation and willingness to accept their mistakes enabled them to make the discussion show the practical aspect of making films.
