2026 Renault Kiger launched: New variants, changes explained

Renault India has expanded the Kiger line-up with the introduction of four new variants with naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines. The update aims to make turbo performance and premium features more accessible to buyers. With the revised range, the Renault Kiger Turbo is now priced from Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the cheapest turbo-powered sub-compact SUV. Renault has also introduced a new Evolution+ variant, available with naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the updated Kiger online or by visiting their nearest Renault dealership. Shipments are expected to begin soon.

Positioned just above the entry-level trim, the Evolution variant gets LED daytime running lights and LED tail lamps, an 8-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, rear AC vents, cloth seat upholstery, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and a rear parking camera. The Evolution+ trim brings several features such as a Smart Access Card with start/stop button, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone replication, driver’s seat height adjustment and light embossed fabric upholstery.

Many features offered on the Evolution variant have been carried over from the higher Techno trim. The Techno variant also adds LED headlights and 16-inch Flex wheels. At the top of the range, the Emotion variant exclusively offers features such as ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, diamond alloy wheels and selectable driving modes.As part of the update, Renault has expanded the Kiger Turbo portfolio from three to five variants. The Techno trim is now available with the turbo-petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, offering buyers another performance-focused option in the range. The naturally aspirated Kiger lineup has also been expanded from six to eight variants, giving customers a wider choice of features and price points.The Renault Kiger continues to be offered with two engine options – a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre petrol engine with 72hp, 96nm and a turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine with 100hp and 160nm torque. The turbo engine is available with manual, CVT and now a wider range of variants. The NA engine is offered with a 5-speed MT or an AMT gearbox.
