Akshay Kumar says Farah Khan used to compete for Rs 5000-10,000 in dance competitions, calls her 'vulgar' for the angle of the fight scene in 'Om Shanti Om'

Akshay Kumar and: Farah Khan recently reunited for a promotional video for the OTT release of ‘Bhooth Bangla’ where they were joined by Priyadarshan and: Rajpal Yadav. The conversation soon turned into a nostalgic trip to their early years in the entertainment industry. Looking back on Farah’s journey before she became one of Bollywood’s most successful choreographers and filmmakers, Akshay recalls seeing her participate in dance competitions. Farah directed Akshay in ‘Tees Maar Khan’. “I know Farah very well. She used to compete for Rs 5,000, Rs 10,000, Rs 10,000,” said Akshay during this chat on Netflix India’s YouTube channel. Farah quickly corrected him, saying, “No. Don’t lie like this. We used to get Rs 1,000. Akshay praised her dancing talent and recalled that she was often spotted at a popular nightclub in Mumbai. “And he was an amazing dancer. There was a place, a disco called Xanadu. And he went there,” he said.Farah then turned the spotlight on Akshay’s personal life, leaving everyone laughing. “And he’s always with, every week, a new girlfriend,” he joked. Akshay immediately denied the claim, saying, “Don’t lie. No, no.” Not ready to let her go, Farah added, “He used to bring only one girlfriend.”The actor quickly responded with his own joke. “He used to change partners,” he said. Laughing at the exchange, Farah said, “Why has this become part of my life, I don’t understand.” Akshay’s response was equally rude. “Because I know about you.” The conversation also revisited Akshay’s memorable appearance in Farah Khan’s 2007 blockbuster ‘Om Shanti Om’. Recalling an action sequence from the film, the actor jokingly accused Farah of deliberately choosing a camera angle.“The fight scene she has taken. Where I threw the gun and then I got caught here,” he said while gesturing towards his pelvis. “And I burned it. Vulgar girl. I kept yelling, ‘Don’t take it.'” Farah laughed and defended herself, saying, “Who told me to shoot the scene from behind?”Akshay then replied, “I didn’t say anything.” ‘Bhooth Bangla’ has now started streaming on Netflix. The film also stars Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi among others.
