India eventually reached 224 for one in just 28.4 overs.The duo proved that there was no problem in the chase, with Jaiswal registering his second ODI hundred and Rohit narrowly missing out on a century after falling on 79. Their aggressive approach put Afghanistan under pressure and left little room for retreat.

The pacer dismissed Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah and Darwish Rasooli in a formidable opening.Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi then led a strong fight with his maiden ODI hundred. The left-hander scored 102 from 131 balls and shared crucial partnerships with Azmatullah Omarzai, who made 50, and Mohammad Nabi to guide the visitors to 218.Despite Shahidi’s courageous efforts, Afghanistan’s overall finances are insufficient. India prevailed with the ball and batting to seal another victory and end the unbeaten streak. The visitors also received a five-match ban after Shahidi repeatedly entered the dangerous pitch area during the innings.
