New Delhi: India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the two-match T20I series against Ireland from June 26 in Belfast. It has been reported that Reddy’s quadriceps injury, which ruled him out of the second ODI against Afghanistan in Lucknow, has developed and requires attention before he can resume the role. The exact time of return is unknown at this time.Reddy was also selected for the ODIs and T20Is against England; it remains to be seen if an injury will take him off the list again. As things stand, he will not travel with the team to Ireland.The Indian team will travel to Ireland in several groups. One team, consisting of Sanju Samson, Axar Patel, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, Morne Morkel and T Dilip, left today from Chennai while the rest of the players will leave tomorrow from Mumbai.If the selectors are to name a successor to Reddy, Suryansh Shedge is the frontrunner due to his recent output for India A in Sri Lanka.Reddy was also selected for the ODIs and T20Is against England; it is unlikely that he will appear in the sequel. At present, he will not travel with the group to Ireland.The 23-year-old has played 10 Tests, 6 ODIs and 4 T20Is for India so far.
