National testing agency (State Administration of Taxation) has announced that it will send important exam updates and center related information to candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Undergraduate Entrance Test (NEET UG) re-examination 2026 through its official WhatsApp channel.According to the agency, this initiative was launched to ensure that candidates receive important information directly and reduce confusion ahead of the re-examination, which is scheduled to be held on June 21, 2026.
NTA shares official WhatsApp account details
NTA has informed candidates that all WhatsApp updates will be sent only through their verified WhatsApp account (with number) +91 7827980287.Candidates are advised to look for the blue verified check mark and the display name “National Testing Agency”. The agency clarified that any number without a blue verification badge should not be considered an official NTA account, even if it bears the agency’s name.The agency also said its WhatsApp channel is a broadcast-only service, meaning candidates will receive messages but will not be able to reply to them.
NTA warns candidates to beware of fraud
The testing agency has issued a warning against fake news and online scams.According to the NTA, it will never require candidates to:
- Shared one-time password (OTP)
- Provide personal details via WhatsApp
- Make any payment via link or QR code
- Download test papers or answers from unofficial sources
The agency said any message claiming to be from NTA and requesting such information should be considered fraudulent.
Re-issue new admission ticket for re-examination
NTA also informed candidates that new admit cards have been issued for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21.Admission tickets issued for the May 3 exam are no longer valid and cannot be used for re-examination.Candidates are advised to download their admit cards only from official websites and avoid clicking on links shared through messages or social media platforms.
How to report suspicious messages
Candidates who receive suspicious messages claiming to be from NTA can report them through the government’s cyber fraud reporting platform.If you discover fraudulent information, you can submit a complaint online through the designated reporting portal.The agency also advised candidates who have suffered losses in cyber scams to immediately contact the National Cyber ​​Crime Helpline 1930 and lodge a complaint through the Cyber ​​Crime Reporting System.
NTA urges candidates to rely only on official sources
The agency asked candidates to be vigilant and rely only on information shared through official channels.
