In his Instagram post, he mentioned that his account had been compromised and that hackers had started streaming Bitcoin prices live on his YouTube channel. Hegde said the live broadcast on his YouTube channel showed Bitcoin prices hitting $100,000, which is roughly Rs 69,448.00.
Hegde mentioned that as part of the negotiation, all content on the YouTube channel was deleted, but later restored.
His post reads: “The hacker took control of the account and started a live stream of Bitcoin prices reaching $100,000 – without my permission, of course. Within minutes, I received 100 DM from you guys. Thank you for alerting me, but unfortunately the channel ended and I didn’t know what to do. I only did it for 3 years.”
Tips for keeping your YouTube account safe

Create a strong password: This is the most basic step in keeping any account secure. A strong password with a combination of letters, numbers and symbols can go a long way in preventing hacking.
Also, it’s a good idea to avoid sharing your personal account information with anyone, especially your login credentials.
Regular Security Check: Google offers a Security Check feature with a Google Account that allows users to scan their passwords and accounts for violations and take appropriate action.
Two-Step Verification: Enabling two-step verification adds a layer of security for any account, including Google.

Remove sites and apps you don’t need
Update your software and back up your account
