Tom: Hanks of some of the mistakes he made in his career
While discussing his career in an interview with ‘The Rest Is Entertainment’, the popular actor looked back on his career and shared how every film he has done has a different meaning for him. While some met the mark, many other projects did not meet his satisfaction. He started by saying that all his films have been a great experience for him, no matter how they turned out. “I don’t watch these movies after the first time, really, because they never change, and there are movies that have moments of [them] which I can’t see because I didn’t get there. And sometimes these are the big moments. I never got there. And I know it. And I’m confused about any number of things.”
Tom Hanks admits he had a hard time watching ‘Cast Away’
Remembering one of his most famous works, ‘Cast Away’, where the plane he was on, with several FedEx parcels, crashes on a rocky island. From making friends with the ball to being saved, the film was a great experience for him. However, his reunion scene with Kelly Frears, played by the one and only Helen Hunt, is one of those scenes he never wants to see again. As for why, he gave more details and shared, “Chuck returned to Kelly’s house, and he returned his watch, and there was a moment where I thought I wasn’t there. Everything was a change in me. I made this gesture that I thought was a lie, and it was me, and not Chuck.“Hanks also added that he realized he made a mistake only after the film was over and he was looking at the final product. However, by then it was too late to do anything about it.
