In the video, he humorously welcomes Pant with a famous Hindi proverb:“Subah ka bhula agar shaam ko ghar wapas aa jaye toh use bhula nahi kehte.”(If a person who goes astray in the morning returns home in the evening, he is not considered lost.)Pant was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants for a record breaking Rs 27 crore in the previous auction. However, after a mixed campaign and changes in team strategy, all the franchises have agreed to a direct exchange before the IPL 2027 season. In his first stint with the Delhi Capitals from 2016 to 2024, Pant scored 3,284 runs in nine seasons, making him the all-time leading run-getter and one of the all-time favorite players. In two seasons with Lucknow Super Giants, Pant scored 581 runs in his two seasons (2025-2026). Rishabh Pant led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to 10 wins and 18 losses in 28 matches as captain, finishing with a 35.71% win rate.
