Actor R Madhavan received one of the country’s most prestigious civilian awards, the: Padma Shrithus, marking another significant achievement in his illustrious career. While congratulatory messages poured in from across the film industry and among his fans, his wife Sarita Madhavan wrote an emotional message for him. Meanwhile Madhavan was honored with a Padma Shri by the President Dropadi Murmuhis wife Sarita, his mother Saroja Ranganathan and son Vedaant were seen cheering him on. Sarita also shared photos from the ceremony featuring their family. He wrote, “Congratulations, my love, on this well-deserved Padma Shri. Your passion, hard work, and artistry have touched countless hearts. I am so proud of you now and always.” Their son Vedaant also expressed his happiness at the honour, posting, “What an amazing achievement.. So proud 👏.”After the recognition, Madhavan took to social media to share his gratitude and reflect on the significance of the award. He wrote, “I am very humbled and very grateful, and truly honored to be conferred with the Padma Shri. My heartfelt thanks to the Government of India for awarding me one of the highest civilian honors in our country. I am equally grateful to the Government of Maharashtra for recommending my name and putting their faith in my life’s journey.The actor further acknowledged the support he has received throughout his career, adding, “To every person who has watched my films, embraced my characters, celebrated my successes, forgiven my shortcomings, and stood by me over the years—this honor is as much yours as it is mine. Now, I also feel a deep sense of responsibility. This recognition reminds me that every privilege has a greater duty—to uphold the values of integrity, humility, and goodness; to contribute meaningfully to the world of cinema that has given me everything; and to serve my country in any way I can.
