In a recent podcast episode, the actress recalled what it felt like to help the man and how scary the experience was for her.
Amy Adams remembers saving a stranger’s life
The actress, while talking about her life and career on the ‘Smartless’ podcast, revealed that one time she saved someone’s life. He revealed that he will focus more when there is an emergency around him. When Will Arnett asked him to elaborate on the matter, he revealed that there was a time when he saved someone’s life.“I saw a couple of scenes where we were kind of the first people on the scene”, she commented, further sharing that there was a time in Santa Monica when she was with her father and her husband and daughter, when she heard people shouting “she is dying” while her husband shouted that he could see blood. Adams revealed that she immediately jumped up, told her husband to stay with their son, and ran to help the man.He added, “He was stabbed in the neck, so he was bleeding, and his friends were scared. [and] I think he charmed them too – and put the pressure on. I’m sitting there, somehow going, ‘You need to calm your pulse. Take a deep breath.’ I was literally just focused. I said, ‘The harder you go, the faster you bleed. Just lie down. Let’s raise it.’”She further shared that the man survived and she met him almost a year after the incident. She remembers that the man had her son, and cries when talking to him and thanks him for saving her.In that episode, Sean Hayes, who hosted the show, also recalled how, after filming an episode of ‘Will and Grace’, he also ended up in a similar situation to save someone, who had been shot.
