Priyanka Chopra may have bagged some of the biggest films and web series in Hollywood right now, but the actress, in her latest chat, opened up about her ambitions.During a conversation at the Cannes Lions conference on Wednesday, Priyanka spoke candidly about her burgeoning careers in India and Hollywood. Reflecting on the current entertainment scene, Chopra gushed, “What a wonderful time to be an entertainer, to be in the entertainment business, because ideas are your money.“

Referring to the changes in the film industry over the years, he told Variety, “I feel like if you have an idea, shoot it, put it on YouTube, and it becomes ‘Obsession,’ the movie that just came out.” He further explains, “It used to be a niche industry when I first started. The actress, who recently starred in the streaming hits ‘Citadel’ and ‘Heads of State’, also spoke about her desire to expand her English-language career and explore wider roles with bigger talents. Comparing his work in the two industries, he said, “In my Hindi-language career, I have worked with all the best filmmakers and the best actors, I have told amazing stories and done different genres. Whereas in America, in Hollywood, in my English-language work, I have never been able to do that.“Looking ahead, Chopra shares her thoughts on reinventing herself. He said his “next reinvention” was to “figure out how, in (his) English-language work” he could bring that “kind of diversity to my characters that I did in India.”

The actress also shared her decision to launch a production company in the US, due to the desire to support emerging storytellers. He said, “I started my production house to support new filmmakers, or filmmakers who have a lot of ideas but don’t have the ability to open the doors that I can open.”
