To many internet users, Kirti Chowdhury is the face behind the website. Youtube KirtiChow channel where he shares humorous and relatable videos with over 1.29 million subscribers. But behind the camera, he was working toward another goal.Kirti secured All India Rank (AIR) 760 in UPSC Civil Service Examination (CSE) 2025. According to APTI PLUS College, he hails from Howrah, West Bengal and did his BA (Honours) in Accounting and Economics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.His UPSC journey was not a one-time success. He took the test four times. He passed the Prelims exam in 2022, 2023 and 2024, entered the Mains stage in 2023 and 2025, and finally passed the three stages of Prelims, Mains and Interview in UPSC CSE 2025, the results of this year have been declared.Instead of taking elective subjects related to a business background, Corti chose philosophy. He believes that genuine interest in a subject is more important than following popular trends. During the preparation process, he focused on regular review, answer practice and mock exams.Outside of school, Gertie continued to pursue her interests. His hobbies include comic art and strength training, activities he describes as helping him stay creative, disciplined and refreshed during his preparation.His social media presence also reflects his views on self-improvement. In a post on Instagram, Kirti wrote: “Never be ashamed of your background by denying your roots.”He added, “It’s okay to take public transport, not go to parties, wear your shirts until they’re torn, and not own the latest, expensive gadgets, as long as you have a burning desire in your heart to be a self-made person rather than fleecing your parents and feel ashamed to admit and accept your financial situation.”His YouTube channel describes itself as a space for “relevant and wholesome content with my lame sense of humor.” Popular videos he has uploaded include videos like “Cats,” proving that astrology is fake! And my childhood views should be illegal! His last video on the channel was uploaded in December 2025.
