The iconic scene of ‘Eega’ got a great response from the French audience
SS Rajamouli’s team recently shared a video from the screening of ‘Eega’ in Paris. The clip shows the audience clapping loudly after one of the film’s most memorable moments. Theater fans cheered and clapped as the iconic “I will be back” scene played out on the big screen. The scene remains one of the film’s most beloved moments, and French audiences celebrated it with loud applause.
About ‘Eega’
Released in 2012, ‘Eega’ is a story where a man who was killed out of jealousy returns as a fly to take revenge. The famous scene comes during the climax of the film when the little fly bravely challenges the villain, played by Sudeep. Throughout the movie, the fly continues to haunt and fight the villain. In the final moments, the fly writes “I’ll be back” before the explosive climax. The films star Nani, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kiccha Sudeep in lead roles.
SS Rajamouli received a special honor in Paris
During his visit to Paris, SS Rajamouli also received a great honor from the Cinémathèque Française, one of the most respected film institutions in the world. Sharing his happiness at X, Rajamouli wrote, “Having me here in Paris and screening my films is an honor for me. But a sweet surprise that I did not see coming. It is a feeling that I cannot fully put into words. To have a permanent place in the halls of one of the most famous film institutions in the world, named after the great Henri Langlois himself, something I will carry with me forever.” Rajamouli also thanked everyone who made the honor possible. He wrote, “My deepest gratitude to the legendary Mr. Costa Gavras and the entire Cinémathèque Française family for this honor, and for embracing Indian cinema with such warmth and love.”SS Rajamouli is next working on his upcoming title ‘Varanasi’ with the Telugu superstar Mahesh Babuglobal icon Priyanka Chopra and Malayalam’s Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is slated to release on April 7, 2027.
