New Delhi: Punjab Kings cricket team Shashank Singh she broke her silence after an FIR was registered against her, her father Shailesh Singh and their driver following the home cook’s verbal abuse, insults and forced seizure of her phone.According to an IANS report, the Ratibad police in Bhopal have registered a case under Sections 296 (B), 115 (2) and 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police have started investigating the cases. The complainant, Vipendra Singh Tomar, a resident of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh, told the police that he joined the Singh family’s Neelbad house as a cook on June 25. He said he was promised a monthly salary of Rs 15,000 along with food and accommodation.Responding to the charges, Mr. Shashank denied that he or his family had beaten or challenged the complainant.“No, we haven’t caught him,” Shashank told ANI.“It’s true that he came claiming to be a cook, but he wasn’t a cook at all. He didn’t know how to cook; he just came to have fun, take videos and pictures, even enter my room. Since he did such things, I suspect he came with the intention of stealing. We are very lucky that, from what we have investigated so far, nothing has been stolen.”The Punjab Kings batsmen also explained why the complainant’s phone was confiscated.“It is true that his phone had videos and pictures of the house, so my mother told him to delete them because they were private.Mr. Shashank also said that the police have not spoken to him so far and said that he decided to call the police himself.“The police have not approached us until now. When we caught him taking pictures and videos, my sister told him to dial 100. But he pleaded with me, and I let him go.”Denying allegations of assault and harassment, Shashank said:“It is possible that someone will accuse me of such crimes. I believe that everyone who knows me, knows that physical confrontation is impossible for me. I doubt even using insulting words, so I could not do something like that. I don’t think I need to give any reasons for this. “According to the FIR, Tomar said that he agreed to work at the home after being assured that he would get salary, food and accommodation.“I agreed to work there and stayed at the house after being assured that I would get salary, food and accommodation,” Tomar said in his complaint.Tomar said he was later told that there was a mistake in his work and that his mobile phone had been confiscated.According to the complaint, the matter escalated on June 28 when he asked for his phone back.“After preparing breakfast, I asked Shailesh Singh to return my phone, but he refused. I was upset about this, I went to my room,” said Tomar. He also said that Shailesh Singh, Shashank Singh and their driver entered his room and beat him.“They abused me and started beating me with their hands and fists. After beating me, they chased me out of the house,” said Tomar in his statement to the police. The complainant also said that Rs 1,000 was taken from her mobile phone, and the accused said that she spent the money on food and accommodation. The matter is being investigated by the police.
