Netflix’s recently released cop drama Kartavya, starring: Saif Ali Khanviewers were introduced to Yudhvir Ahlawat, who won acclaim for his portrayal of the teenage character Harpal. While many viewers believe that he is a teenager in real life, Yudhvir is actually 33. The actor now revealed that even Saif Ali Khan was initially convinced that he was younger.Yudhvir shared how overwhelming the response was to his show. “It feels amazing. Recalling how he got the role, Yudhvir says the opportunity came through casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s team. Having previously worked with Red Chillies Entertainment, he was invited to audition for the role of Harpal.“This is my second time working with Red Chillies, and it was a great experience. I got a call from Mukesh Chhabra’s team saying that they are casting for a film called Kartavya and want to try me for the role of Harpal. I gave the audition, and after one or two takes, they told me that I did well. Somewhere, I also felt that I would end up doing this film.The actor said that his youthful appearance has earned him many compliments, especially from female fans.“Many of them told me I was too young and called me cute,” she shared.Yudhvir further revealed that what Saif Ali Khan said during an interview unexpectedly became a viral moment. According to him, the actor chose Harpal as one of his favorite characters in the film and admitted that he assumed Yudhvir was really a teenager.“Saif sir was asked in an interview about his favorite scene from the film. He started praising me and said, ‘Harpal is so good. I treated him like a 16-year-old. That clip went viral,” he recalled.He added that Saif is not the only one who is fooled by his appearance. Yudhvir said that most of the cast and crew initially believed that he was a child actor until director Pulkit clarified his real age.“Initially, everyone treated me like a child actor. Later, Pulkit sir told everyone that I am actually 33 years old. After that, people like Sanjay Mishra sir and others started treating me like any mature actor,” he said.Yudhvir Ahlawat made his film debut with Saand Ki Aankh, starring: Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar.
