Naga Vamsi shared the poster with a caption that said the protagonist is “Born in the North… Formed in the Centre… Worshiped in the South.” This tagline drew severe criticism from devotees and Tamil netizens, who strongly objected to the northern identification of the ancient deity who was highly regarded as the Tamil Kadavul (the God of the Tamils).
