According to Sacnilk, ‘Balan. The Boy’ collected Rs 1.82 crore nett in India on its opening day. The film was screened in 1,316 theaters nationwide.Its gross collection in India stands at Rs 2.11 crore. Kerala emerged as the biggest contributor to the film’s earnings. The state has estimated an estimated gross collection of Rs 1.65 crore on Day 1.The Malayalam version contributed Rs 1.74 crore nett from 952 shows and recorded the highest occupancy among all language versions.Tamil contributed Rs 4 lakhs nett, while Telugu added Rs 3 lakhs nett. The Hindi version earned Rs 1 lakhs nett.The Malayalam version registered a total occupancy of 32.27 percent. Occupancy continued to improve throughout the day. Morning shows recorded 18.25 percent occupancy. Afternoon performances increased to 24.42 percent. Late night movies reached 29.92 percent, while late night movies increased by 50.08 percent.
