The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 10 Second Board Result 2026 soon. Although the official date is yet to be confirmed by the board, lakhs of students who appeared for the second phase exams are waiting for their scores.Data from previous years’ supplementary exams shows how achievement levels have changed over time as students await results. In 2025, a total of 138,898 candidates took the make-up exam in Class 10, and 67,620 passed the exam, with a passing rate of 48.68%.This number is a sharp increase from 2024, when only 37,957 out of 1,27,473 candidates passed the examination. The overall passing rate for the year was 29.78%.In 2023, 60,551 out of 127,622 students passed the make-up exam, with a passing rate of 47.40%. The data shows that pass rates have fluctuated in recent years, with significant improvements between 2024 and 2025.

The 2026 academic session is also important as it marks the launch of the new two-board exam board system by CBSE for Class 10 students. As per the revised format, if students are not satisfied with their performance in the first exam, they will be given another opportunity to improve their scores by appearing for the second board exam.According to reports, more than 6.68 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10 second examination this year. Among all subjects, science has the highest number of enrollments, followed by mathematics and social sciences. There are also many candidates for local and foreign language papers, while fewer students choose professional subjects such as artificial intelligence, tourism, music and painting.Once declared, students will be able to check their results on the official websites cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in.
