Esha Deol spoke about breakups, heartbreak and navigating life’s most personal decisions, saying that he prefers to trust his own judgment and believes that every experience, including mistakes, helps a person become stronger.During a conversation with Curly Tales, Esha reflected on how she approaches life’s big choices, including relationships.“When it comes to decisions, I don’t accept other people’s opinions. I like to make my own decisions because tomorrow, if it’s right or wrong, I won’t be responsible to anyone for it. Even if it’s a movie or a boyfriend. Mistakes happen. They’re the only ones that make you strong and you learn from your mistakes,” he said.
“It’s between two individuals”
The actress, who announced her separation from businessman husband Bharat Takhtani in 2024, describes such situations as very personal and sensitive, especially when children are involved.“That’s a very personal thing. It’s between two individuals. Being in the profession we’re in, it’s open to the public. I’m not the type of person, neither is Bharat or his family, to be very open about a lot of things.He credits his family for standing by him at every stage of his life.“My family has always supported me through everything – good or bad,” he shared.
“Every situation is different”
When asked what advice she would give to women who might be thinking of breaking up but aren’t sure about taking that step, Esha emphasized that every relationship has its own set of circumstances.“The reasons can be very different. Many people find my reasons not very reasonable for doing certain things. And it’s always not just a woman, it’s a man too. Two good people, if they do something like this, I think it can be better,” he said.Interestingly, despite going through a breakup, Esha admits that she still believes in love and romance. According to the actress, her experiences have not changed her view on relationships.Esha and Bharat officially ended their 11-year marriage in 2024, announcing an amicable separation in February. They share two daughters, Radhya and Miraya, born in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
