Punjabi singer-actor Gippy Grewal once again opened up about the shocking shooting incident outside his residence in the White Rock neighborhood of Canada, saying that he was completely confused because he had not received any threats or warning calls before the attack.During an appearance on Shekhar Suman’s chat show Shekhar Tonite, Gippy reflected on the incident and revealed that at first he had no idea why his house was targeted.“When the shooting happened outside my house, I honestly don’t know why it happened. I never received any calls. No one threatened me. Later, a post appeared explaining why they did it,” he said.The incident began in November 2023, when shots were fired outside Grewal’s residence in White Rock, near Vancouver. After the attack, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility through a post on social media, describing it as a “warning” linked to Gippy’s alleged association with the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan:. No one was injured in the incident.

Responding to the motive pointed out by the gang, Gippy clarified that he does not have a close personal relationship with Salman Khan.“The truth is that I met Salman sir only a few times while promoting films Big Boss and during the trailer launch. We don’t even have a close friendship. But they thought differently, and that is what led to the incident,” he said.After the firing, the Bishnoi gang allegedly released a statement claiming that it was a warning and that the Punjabi celebrity should avoid associating with Salman Khan. Similar threats directed at Salman Khan prompted the Mumbai Police to review and strengthen the actor’s security arrangements at the time.
