Changes to the House of the Dragon Season 3 tapestry
Beyond the music, the opening sequence of the credits depicting the history of House Targaryen through an animated tapestry, now ends differently. Instead of ending with an image of the Iron Throne, the tapestry now ends with a Targaryen-style dragon sigil with a black dragon on a red background.The symbol does not represent the traditional Targaryen banner, which features a red dragon on a black field. Instead, the black dragon in red is associated with House Blackfyre, a cadet branch of House Targaryen that emerged decades after the events described today in ‘House of the Dragon’.Viewers noticed that the tapestry also appeared torn, representing the decline of House Targaryen, its dynasty and dragons.New episodes of ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 will air every Monday until its season finale on August 9.
