The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG re-examination 2026 tomorrow, June 21. More than 22 lakh medical aspirants are expected to appear for the exam at centers in India and abroad. As there are strict security arrangements, candidates have to undergo document verification and dress code check at the exam centre. To avoid any last-minute issues, students are advised to follow the guidelines issued by NTA carefully.As per the official timetable, entrance to the exam center will begin at 11 am. The gates will close at 1.30pm and no candidates will be allowed to enter after this time. The exam will start at 2 p.m. and last until 5:15 p.m., taking candidates for a total of 195 minutes.This year, candidates will receive a four-page rough assignment question paper as opposed to the two pages previously provided.
Important documents to bring
Candidates must bring a new admission ticket to take the re-examination. Previous hall tickets will not be accepted. Students should bring a color printed admission ticket and affix a postcard sized photo in the space provided.Original government-issued photo ID such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport or driving license is also required. Photocopies or digital copies displayed on mobile phones will not be accepted.Candidates should also carry at least two passport size photographs. These photos must be the same as those uploaded during the application process and may be required for attendance-related procedures.Students registered under the disabled/handicapped category must carry the original disability certificate issued by the competent authority.
Dress Code and Prohibited Items
NTA requires candidates to wear a light colored half-sleeved shirt or T-shirt paired with simple trousers or trousers. Shoes should be limited to flip flops or low-heeled sandals.Candidates should avoid long-sleeved clothing, clothing with large buttons or extensive embroidery, shoes, socks, and various jewelry, including rings, necklaces, and earrings.Items such as mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, wallets, belts, paper, notes, and food are strictly prohibited from being brought into the examination center.Candidates wearing religious attire such as turban, turban or kirpan are advised to report early and undergo detailed security screening.
