Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar’s family has a new reason to celebrate. His elder daughter, Avantika Sundar, got married to Shravan Sreenivasan in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Goa on Thursday evening. The private event was attended by family members and a close group of friends from the Indian film industry.Making the happy announcement on social media, Khushbu shared the first photos from the wedding with an emotional note, saying the family was “speechless” as they witnessed their daughter start a new chapter.Wedding photos capture many touching moments from the ceremony. One photo shows Avantika and Shravan holding hands in traditional silk attire, while another monochrome image shows the groom kissing his bride on the forehead after the rituals. Khushbu also posted a family photo with her husband and film maker Sundar C:younger sister Anandita, the newlyweds and their pet. While Avantika chose a pastel pink ensemble for the ceremony, Shravan and the rest of the family wore coordinated gold outfits.
Khushbu writes an emotional message
Sharing the news, Khushbu wrote that the occasion was filled with gratitude and overwhelming emotions.“We are truly speechless at this moment, for words seem inadequate to express the emotions we are experiencing,” he wrote.The actor added that family is always the center of their lives and they have long believed that “marriages are made in heaven.”Announcing the wedding, he wrote, “With great joy and gratitude, we, Sundar C and Kushboo Sundar, are happy to share the wonderful news that our beloved daughter, Ms. Avantika Sundar, got married to Mr. Shravan Sreenivasan on 25th June 2026.”Reflecting on the ceremony, he said, “Surrounded by the love of family and close friends, we witnessed a moment that will remain etched in our hearts forever.Khushbu revealed that the wedding was intentionally kept intimate, as per the wishes of the couple.“It was a small and intimate celebration, exactly as the couple envisioned, and we are honored to fulfill their wishes. Sometimes, the most beautiful moments are those shared quietly with the people who matter the most,” he wrote, while thanking the team behind the celebrations.He ended the note by introducing the newly married couple to his followers and asking for everyone’s blessings as they begin their journey together.“As Avantika and Shravan begin this wonderful new chapter together, we seek your love and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness, togetherness, and countless cherished memories. Although the wedding was a private affair, it witnessed the presence of many prominent personalities from the entertainment industry. Trisha Krishnan, a close friend of Khushbu, attended the ceremony along with guests from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries.Among those present were Telugu superstars Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna, who attended with their wives. Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor were also spotted at the celebrations. Khushbu also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and actor-politician Vijay to the wedding. However, the three dignitaries did not attend the ceremony.
