Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ continues to perform consistently despite facing new competition from Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’. More than three weeks after its theatrical release, the play is still attracting audiences and increasing its total collection. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 93 lakhs nett in India on Day 23. The latest figure represents a 20.8% increase over the Rs 77 lakhs collected on Day 22.
The collections in India increased by Rs 240 crore
Day 23 earnings from 1,399 shows across the country. With the latest addition, Peddi has now collected Rs 238.30 crore nett in India.The gross collection in India also reached Rs 281.85 crore. The film has already crossed the Rs 193.55 crore mark during its opening weekend. It added another Rs 34.45 crore in the second week and Rs 9.37 crore in the third week.
Worldwide gross rose to Rs 334.75 crore
The overseas market also continues to contribute to the overall performance of the film. ‘Peddi’ has now earned Rs 52.90 crore internationally. The worldwide gross of the film rose to Rs 334.75 crore.On Day 23, the Telugu version registered a total occupancy of 22.83%. It recorded 17.70% occupancy during the morning shows, 27.10% in the afternoon, 18.90% in the evening, and 23.60% during the night shows.The state-wise gross collection for Day 23 stands at Rs 1.05 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the largest contributors with Rs 1 crore. Karnataka added Rs 3 lakhs while rest of India contributed Rs 2 lakhs.
‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ records strong on second Friday
Even as ‘Peddi’ continues its run, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ enjoyed an excellent second Friday at the box office.According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 4.65 crore nett in India on Day 8. That represents a 75.5% jump compared to the Rs 2.65 crore earned on Day 7.The strong growth took the film’s total Indian collection to Rs 40.50 crore. The gross in India reached Rs 46.83 crore after eight days in theatres.‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ also continues to earn from the international markets. The film added Rs 35 lakhs overseas on Day 8.The overseas gross has now reached Rs 18.30 crore.
