The story centers on Aathiran, a talented runner from a Chennai slum who gets a chance to represent India in the Commonwealth Games. However, his election was allegedly canceled after powerful people interfered in the process.The failure pushed Aathiran into a legal battle against a minister portrayed by Mansoor Ali Khan. The film examines the corruption within the sports system.

According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 5 lakhs net in India on its opening day. Its India gross also stood at similar numbers. The worldwide gross collection so far stands at Rs 5 lakhs.
