The Central Bank of India will close the online registration process for 4,500 apprenticeship posts today (June 28, 2026). Candidates who are yet to apply are advised to complete their application through the prescribed online portal before the deadline.Previously, the last application date was June 22, 2026. However, the bank has extended the application deadline to June 28, giving eligible candidates extra time to register.Recruitment for the financial year 2026-27 is conducted under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. Several states and union territories have announced apprenticeship vacancies.

Central Bank of India Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Job vacancy details

The recruitment drive will fill a total of 4,500 apprenticeship positions.States with the highest number of job openings include:

  • Maharashtra – 586 posts
  • Uttar Pradesh – 580 posts
  • Madhya Pradesh – 459 posts
  • Bihar – 433 posts
  • West Bengal – 315 posts
  • Gujarat – 305 posts

Eligibility criteria

Below are the detailed eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree from a recognized university or institution.
  • Applicants who have completed an apprenticeship with any organization or are currently undertaking an apprenticeship are not eligible to apply.
  • The bank also said candidates with one or more years of work experience or training after obtaining the required educational qualifications will not be eligible for apprenticeships.
  • The application age is calculated from May 31, 2026. Candidates belonging to the reserved category can check the detailed notification for age relaxation information.

Selection process

The selection process includes the following stages:

  • Online exam
  • local language proficiency test
  • Document verification
  • Medical health assessment

The online exam will have 100 multiple choice questions worth 100 points. Candidates will have 60 minutes to complete the test and will not receive a negative grade.The exam paper will cover:

  • General and financial awareness
  • Quantitative and reasoning skills
  • computer knowledge
  • general english
  • Central Bank of India products and services

The online exam is expected to be conducted in the first week of July 2026.

  • Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
  • Complete registration with the required details.
  • Follow the instructions received to access the designated application portal.
  • Fill in your personal details, category and region preferences.
  • Pay the application fee online.
