He said, “Let’s see, I’m not making any new films right now.” At that point, there was no immediate opportunity, but the connection was established.
Eight months of waiting
Basil returned to his regular job while continuing to hold on to his dream of making a film. A few months passed with no clear direction. Then, one ordinary day, he received a message on Facebook Messenger from Vineeth Sreenivasan. It reads, “Are you still interested in helping me?” Basil later described it as a defining moment in his life, calling it “the most life-changing message of my life.”
The first meeting:
What followed was pure magic. A meeting in Chennai. Vineeth casually reached three-fourths and an i20.
