Ranveer Singh is all set to travel to Australia to start shooting for Jay Mehta’s directorial feature ‘Pralay’ in September, reported Pinkvilla. It was also shared that the pre-production setup for the film has already started in Australia.The report says, “Ranveer will start shooting for Jay Mehta’s directorial in the second half of 2026. The shoot is planned in Australia, and he has already started the prep. This is a film that requires intense physical and emotional preparation, given the scale and genre.

The film has a huge budget of approximately Rs 300 crore, making it one of Singh’s costliest films he has worked on till date. Another statement from the report also added that the film will rely heavily on VFX and special effects and the production team is focusing on every detail. The statement read: “Pralay will rely heavily on VFX. Jai and his team are actively working on the screenplay, visual detailing, and the larger zombie universe. Ranveer is also involved in creative discussions every day.”The film will explore the themes of a zombie apocalypse that ravages the world and makes humanity fall apart. The story will center on a couple who do anything and everything to survive the apocalypse.The film was labeled as groundbreaking, with Jay Mehta telling Variety India that “This is the kind of film that has never been made in India, the kind of film that India has never seen before.”
