Olivia Wilde shared a fatal incident that could have cost her life, on the set of Jon Favreau’s 2011 Western action movie. “Walt Goggins saved my life in that movie,” the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ filmmaker said, before adding, “He did. I had an accident with a horse, and he saved me. Me and Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford running, like, full sprint across the desert with 40 horses behind us.”While the camera was rolling, the horse jumped into a large ditch, causing the actress to lose her balance and fall. “I fell. I hit my head and back, and I lied.” [on the ground]but, unfortunately, I’m on the other side of this kind of dirt lip, which means that all the horses behind can’t see me,” he said, his ears touched the ground as he listened to the herd that approached him with full force. “This sound is like thunder, as if they are coming towards me. And I thought of something — it seems very dramatic — but I think, it’s easy. It will be like, powdered applesauce. Out,” the ‘Booksmart’ director teased.

Walton Goggins, who is an experienced rider, helped and protected the actress on the ground. “Walt Goggins saw it [me] ahead of him and for a second’s thought to turn his horse sideways right in front of me and let all kinds of bashing go at him,” Wilde continued about ‘The White Lotus’ star, whom he called ‘Walt.’ As he stands in front, the horses must be split on both sides.At the end of the dangerous event, he expressed his gratitude to the ‘Fallout’ star, “People split into two sides around us thinking he was just crazy, but he kept my body on the ground. And so I owe him my life. It’s crazy. He’s a real-life hero.”As for Olivia Wilde’s latest project, her directorial film, ‘The Invite,’ just hit theaters on June 26, 2026.
