With Thursday’s limited previews pulling in Rs. 3.75 crore, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ officially opened on Friday, bagging Rs 15.25 crore on Day 1, which translates to a Rs. 27.50 crore worldwide opening day gross. The momentum picked up considerably on Day 2 (Saturday), where the film recorded an incredible 31.1% growth to register Rs. 20.00 crore net. The real peak, however, came on Day 3 (Sunday). Driven by a large family crowd, the film witnessed an additional 23.8% jump, earning a whopping Rs. 24.75 crore nett, marking the biggest opening day of the weekend.
