Faisal Khan’s public apology
During a candid conversation with Ujjwal Trivedi, Faisal Khan openly acknowledged his mistakes for the first time since his relationship with Aamir Khan became estranged. He revealed that he apologized to his mother, brother Aamir, sister Nikhat and brother-in-law Santosh Hegde for the accusations he made in public.He said, “I want to apologize to my mother first. I want to apologize to Nikhat. I want to apologize to Santosh. I also apologize to Aamir. In anger and pain, I said a lot of things I shouldn’t have said.”Faisal also admitted that criticizing his family in public was one of his biggest mistakes, adding that such issues should be resolved in private rather than in front of the media.Faisal shared that he is no longer interested in proving who is right or wrong. However, he said he values peace and harmony in his family more than establishing the truth. He credits reading the Quran for inspiring him to reconnect with his loved ones and strengthening the importance of family bonds.
The point of renewal and restoration
Recalling the moment that changed things, Faissal Khan said he realized he had distanced himself from his family and decided to take the first step towards reconciliation. When he called his brother Nikhat, he answered immediately. He later learned that he missed his mother, which touched him deeply, prompting him to fly to Mumbai the next day to meet his family.Faisal revealed that he apologized to his mother personally and later met Aamir Khan to apologize for airing family matters in public. According to him, after years of misunderstanding, his family accepted him with love, putting an end to long-standing grievances. He added that he now hopes that his family will trust and understand him going forward, as life is too short to hold on to past conflicts.
