He wrote in his post, “Thanks to everyone for their concern! Lionel is OK and will be back on stage.” This brief update is the first information released online about the legend after he collapsed during his show a few days ago.

Videos of the singer went viral a few days ago while he was performing in St. Paul’s Grand Casino Arena. In the beginning, Richie is shown sitting on the stairs and performing after feeling a little dizzy during his performance. He also tells people the same, saying, “What I’ve learned from my years in the business. If you feel dizzy, sit on your ass. And if you feel weird yourself, sit on your ass!”He then made fun of the situation, “Now, I want you to know that this is the first time in the history of ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ that I’ve done it sitting down. That’s a bad sign, y’all.” Later, he went into an early intermission, followed by saxophone player Dino Soldo walking on stage and announcing that due to health issues Richie would not be able to return to the stage.Later, his management agency said on the website that the upcoming tour dates will be postponed to take care of the singer’s health. The statement further read, “Under the advice of doctors to rest and return to full health, Lionel Richie has postponed his next two shows on Friday, June 26 in Chicago, IL and Saturday, June 27 in Columbus, OH. He and Earth, Wind & Fire will return to the stage on Tuesday, June 30 in Pittsburgh, PA.Lionel Richie is on his ongoing North American tour ‘Earth, Wind & Fire.’
