actor: Salman Khan:The petition against the makers of the upcoming film Kala Hiran was heard by: Delhi High Court on Friday. The matter was adjourned until Monday after the filmmakers assured the court that neither the film nor its trailer would be released before the next hearing.During the proceedings, the lawyer representing the filmmakers informed the court that only one teaser of ‘Kala Hiran’ has been made public so far. The lawyer also said that a detailed reply to Salman Khan’s petition will be submitted and clarified that the film itself has not been released yet.The filmmakers further assured the court that they will not send the film to the court Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for certification till Monday.Justice Jyoti Singh said that if the filmmakers are confident that the film will not be released in the coming days, they should formally put the certainty on record. The court asked their lawyer to seek instructions from the clients and come back with a clear stance. After consulting the filmmakers, their lawyer pointed out that Salman Khan was not impleaded by the CBFC as a party in the case. The lawyer argued that no film can be released without getting certification from the board and reiterated that ‘Kala Hiran’ has not been submitted for approval.“We will not send it to the CBFC until Monday,” the lawyer assured the court. Taking note of the statement, the High Court recorded the response of the filmmakers and ordered that the matter be listed for hearing on Monday.Earlier, Salman Khan’s lawyer urged the court to order the filmmakers to make a formal commitment that the film will not be released in the meantime. Describing the matter as one involving the alleged violation of the personality rights of the actor, the lawyer sought interim relief.The court then accepted the assurance of the filmmakers that the film will not be submitted to the CBFC before Monday and fixed the next hearing accordingly.Salman Khan approached the Delhi High Court seeking relief against the makers of ‘Kala Hiran’, More details about the dispute are expected to emerge when the matter is heard again next week.
