Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan questioned by Customs officials as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged case of smuggling luxury vehicles. In the latest report, the actor and filmmaker have not yet requested the provisional release of the remaining vehicles.Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan appeared before the officials on July 1 and was questioned for almost four hours. According to The Hindu report, Dulquer has not yet requested the temporary release of the remaining vehicles. They are also looking for more information about the luxury cars involved in the investigation. It is also suggested that the actor may be asked to produce other high-end cars that he owns in front of the investigators.

Officials are also said to have questioned the ‘I’m Game’ actor about several luxury vehicles being investigated. Earlier he received a provisional release for two of the four vehicles seized during the investigation. The investigation was conducted under Operation Numkoor, a national investigation into the alleged smuggling of high-end vehicles.According to Dulquer’s petition, one of the vehicles is a 2004 model Land Rover Defender. The petition states that the vehicle was legally cleared through a bill of entry for home consumption filed by the ICRC as consignee.
Dulquer Salmaan raises concern about publicity
In his petition, Dulquer Salmaan also said that the media coverage of the seizure affected his image. The petition said, “Media publicity was given for the reasons behind the seizure, and the vehicle was described as one of the other vehicles used for smuggling, transporting drugs, contraband, and anti-state activities. This puts the petitioner in a bad light, affecting his reputation.“Meanwhile, on the work front, Dulquer Salmaan is gearing up for the release of ‘I’m Game’, directed by Nahas Hidhayath.
