Former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel has backed the Indian team management in their cautious approach to youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi but insisted that clear communication with the youngster is essential as they await his international debut.With calls mounting for the 15-year-old to be included in India’s playing XI for the ongoing T20I series against England, Parthiv is confident that Sooryavanshi will get his chance. However, he emphasized that the coaches should ensure that the youngster fully understands his place in the group.Speaking on Jio Hotstar, Parthiv said, “I understand Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will definitely get an opportunity at some point in this series. But at this point, communication is more important. When you are part of the coaching staff, you need to make sure that you communicate well with the players. Even if you can’t play him, you should tell him that. ““He is a 15-year-old boy, so you have to be very careful with him and advise him to be patient. There are many players who have done very well. Sanju Samson He was the Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup. Ishan Kishan, who is batting three times, is the ICC’s number 1 T20I batsman, right Abhishek Sharma and No. 2. Sanju was a World Cup player,” Morkel explained. “Samson had a good IPL. So, as a coach, it’s good to show trust and support to your players. Yes, a boy is knocking on the door, and it’s exciting. But not to the two players at the top, but to the whole team, it’s good to show our support.“Morkel also made it clear that India do not want to change the batting order just to get a new player.“On a day, it’s about putting the actors on the board. That’s the key. But we don’t want to think too much and put other actors in different roles.
