Country singer Jon Pardi recently shared an important life update with his fans. In his social media account, the singer announced that after 5 years of marriage, he and his spouse, Summer, chose to break up.

The popular singer shared an Instagram post announcing the news, revealing that the couple has decided to separate after 5 years of marriage. He uploaded a joint post with Summer and wrote, “After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.Pardi and Summer have two daughters, Presley Fawn, who is 3 years old, and Sienna Grace, who is 2 years old. They also thanked everyone for their understanding and support in the matter. Not only that but the singer also posted another update on his account, saying that in order to deal with everything that is happening in the family, he will be taking a step back from social media and his work.He ended by adding, “Thank you all for the love and support. My team will handle the posting for now. See you at the shows.” The couple has not shared any other updates about their breakup, nor have they detailed why they chose to separate after 5 years.Jon is currently on his ‘Honkytonk Hollywood’ tour.

The couple first met in 2017 when they were set up on a blind date by Ellen Moxley. While speaking to PEOPLE in an old interview, Summer stated that from the beginning, she felt that Jon was the one for her. She commented, “Within the first five minutes of meeting Jon, it was game over for me. I texted my mom, ‘Sell my house, sell my car, send my dog.'” Two years later, Jon proposed to Summer during his ‘Heartache Medication tour’ live on stage while performing in Nashville. They got married a year later.
