Actress Priyamani will next be seen in the upcoming biographical period drama, ‘GDN’ starring R Madhavan. She will be seen playing the female lead in the film directed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar which is about the legendary inventor GD Naidu.According to Cinema Express, speaking at the film’s launch event, Priyamani said he hoped the film would help more people learn about GD Naidu’s life and achievements. He believes that the film will also inspire young people to think differently and generate new ideas.
Priyamani talks about her role
Priyamani plays the role of Chellammal in the film but she is yet to reveal many details about her character. He said, “I won’t reveal much about my role now. But I can tell you one thing—my character’s name is Chellammal. Once the film is released, you will understand what kind of woman she was during that time.
Priyamani hopes that ‘GDN’ will reach everyone
The actress said the film will be an eye-opener for many people. He said, “I think it’s an eye-opener for everyone because many people still don’t know who GD Naidu is. When you mention his name, the first reaction is usually, ‘Who is GD Naidu? What does he do?’ I hope that after watching this film, people will proudly say, ‘Now we know who GD Naidu is.’ It is a proud moment for all of us to realize that India has such a vision. I believe this film will be valuable for everyone.”Priyamani also praised the GD Naidu makeover competition held as part of the film’s promotions. He said that the number of entries shows that many young people are interested in the innovation and added that this is just the beginning.
Priyamani encouraged the youth
During the event, the ‘Jawan’ actress encouraged the youth not to lose hope when faced with difficulties. He also talked about learning GD Naidu’s story while working on the film. He said he was proud that India had such a vision in the pre-Independence era.It is scheduled to release in theaters on July 17 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
