Initially, Faizon Love was jailed in California, where he served a 16-day sentence before being transferred to Florida, according to Complex. The ‘Money Talks’ actor was arrested after his rumored ex, Tiffany Lee, disclosed her USD 250,000 in unpaid child support on June 11 during the declaration of paternity case. In reference to Love not complying with the court-ordered payments, Lee reportedly recalled him saying that he “wouldn’t get a penny.In addition, he emphasized his intention not to work again in order to avoid the aforementioned payments.
Faizon Love relies on royalty checks
As for Love, he stated that Lee and his lawyer framed him as the absolute villain of the situation, according to Fox 13. He pointed out that his income is too low to continue with USD 2,500 per month in child support. Facing homelessness and poverty, the ‘Couples Retreat’ actor reportedly relies on annual ‘Elf’ royalty checks of around $10,000 to survive each year. “He’s homeless. He’s living in his car,” Love’s lawyer said during the hearing, per outlet, before adding, “That’s the downfall of the powerful.” According to TMZ, Love’s highest annual gross income in the past five years is USD 13,000, and his total income in 2025 will be zero dollars. Meanwhile, the judge set July 1, 2026, as the date for Faizon Love to reveal his financial statements to determine his ability to pay child support.
