Punjab Lecturer Recruitment 2026: The Directorate of Recruitment, Directorate of School Education, Punjab has released a short notification for the Punjab Lecturer Cadre Recruitment 2026 and announced 1,013 vacancies for the posts of Lecturer in Government Schools. The recruitment includes 829 regular vacancies and 184 interdisciplinary backlog vacancies. A detailed notification with complete recruitment guidelines is scheduled to be issued on June 23, 2026.The recruitment drive is aimed at filling lecturer positions in languages, arts, business and science subjects. Online applications will be accepted through the designated recruitment portal after the detailed notification is released. Eligibility and Selection ProcessApplicants must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 55% marks. Certain positions also require a graduation grade of at least 50%. Preference will be given to UGC NET or PSTET qualified candidates while PhD holders may get additional weightage during merit preparation.Candidates must have achieved Matric level through Punjabi. The stated age limit is 18 to 37 years.Written test and interview will determine final selection. As per the previous recruitment pattern, the exam will assess Punjabi, English, teaching ability, mathematics, general knowledge and related subjects.
