Kunal Kemmu talks about ‘Golmaal 5’ shoot
After a recent picture shared by the ‘Golmaal’ team impressed the fans, Kunal Kemmu confirmed that the shooting for the next installment of the franchise is actively underway. Reuniting with his co-stars, he said, brought back a wave of nostalgia. In an interview to India Today, he shared, “We’re still doing that film. We’re shooting for it. It’s really fun to meet all of them and just get back to the characters we played 7-8 years ago and even before that. As the teaser says, they’ve been doing this for 20 years; I joined the third one, but it was really fun to be on set.”The actor further stated, “And I really hope that it kind of translates into something that people also enjoy a lot because I know that this is probably one of the most loved franchises in the Hindi film industry. We all hope that it kind of gives the fans’ standards.”Kunal became a part of the ‘Golmaal 3’ franchise in 2010 and has continued to be a key member of the film series ever since.
‘Madgaon Express 2′ update:
During the conversation, Kunal also had good news for fans who are eagerly waiting for the follow-up to his 2024 directorial debut, ‘Madgaon Express’. Confirming that work has begun on the sequel, he said, “I know the fans have been asking for it. And yes, it’s in the works. I’m actually writing it. But there’s time.”

Addressing questions about his acting career after turning to direction, Kunal said, “I think initially some people asked me, ‘Are you going to act now?’ I said, of course, that’s my first love, and I’ll always do that. But I think now they know, and I did something like ‘Single Papa’ after ‘Madgaon Express’, and then I also cast myself in my next film ‘Vibe’. Now I’m doing it (‘Alliance’), so yeah, and I think without the message, I just put it – ‘I’m still acting guys’!”
