Soon after news broke about the actor’s real estate plans, videos of the said sea-facing plot went viral on social media. Reports say the property used to have a two-story structure that was demolished after it was deemed structurally unsafe.

According to the news, the actor’s new home is a six-storey residential building built on a sea-facing plot registered in the name of Salman Khan’s mother, Salma Khan. The proposed building has a total built-up area of ​​approximately 1,014 square meters and will be developed by Sach Developers.The proposed house, coming up in Bandra’s Chimbai, has created a significant buzz among fans after visuals of the currently vacant property surfaced online. Clips circulating on social media show metal sheets erected around the property as it prepares for development.

According to Hindustan Times, official documents state that the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) gave clearance for the residential project on June 16, paving the way for construction to begin. The project previously received the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Intimation of Disapproval (IOD), a preliminary construction approval, in October 2025.Buzz is that Salman and his family will eventually move out of Galaxy Apartments, where they have been living since 1974.The news of the new home comes after the actor faced threats to his life after a gunman opened fire on his residence in 2024.
