SS Rajamouli confirmed that the shooting of Mahesh Babu starrer 'Varanasi' is nearing completion; says only 80 days of filming left

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli is working on his next big project ‘Varanasi’ with a stellar cast including Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithiviraj Sukumaran. The film is currently in the production stage and it appears that the makers have around 80 days of filming left before completion.

More than 80 days left for ‘Varanasi’ shoot

According to a report by Pinkvilla, the ‘Baahubali’ director attended the release event of ‘RRR’ in France. During his interaction, he talked about the development of ‘Varanasi’. He said that only a small part of the shoot is left before the film is completed.Rajamouli said, “My producer is there, so he won’t let me reveal much. I can say that we have completed the major action scenes of the film and we have smaller parts that will be wrapped in 80 days.”

Big ‘Varanasi’ shoot is scheduled

On the other hand, a few days ago, a report in Mid-Day stated that the team is preparing for a new shooting schedule from July 7 in Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu is expected to shoot with around 3,500 junior artists. The team has been preparing this sequence for weeks. The battle sequence is said to be one of the biggest scenes ever planned by SS Rajamouli. The scenes to be shot in Hyderabad are just the beginning of this massive sequence.

About ‘Varanasi’

Talking about ‘Varanasi’, the film is said to be a time traveling action adventure film, which follows a Shiva devotee who travels through different time periods to find a lost cosmic artifact of great power.Mahesh Babu played Rudhra in the film. Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays Mandakini, while: Prithviraj Sukumaran it appears that Kumbha is the main antagonist.‘Varanasi’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
