According to News18, Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Rajmohan: temporarily allotted his government MLA quarters in Omandurar Government Estate in Chennai to Bava Lakshmanan. The report says that the minister supported the actor once he came to know about his issues. He also reportedly told the veteran comedian that he could stay at home for the next six months, where he would concentrate on his recovery. In addition, the minister assured the actor that he will help him find a house.

Recently, Bava Lakshmanan spoke about his struggle to get regular film work and how he depends on financial help from actors Jiiva, Legend Saravanan and KPY Bala to meet his daily needs. He also said that he does not have a decent place to live and is asking for help.
