Ahmed Khan has defended the limited screen time of Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, saying the comedy was built on stars like Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever, leaving little room for more dialogues. He insists that a hero needs good scenes, not extra lines. The film also stars Akshay Kumar.

Since the cast included many big comedy stars, he added, it naturally became difficult to distribute screen time equally to everyone.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ahmed said, “When you have such strong actors like Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas, Aftab, Arshad, Akshay; you know they are kings of comedy, inke beech mein ladkiyon ka dialogue daal ke kya hoga.”He further mentioned that everyone on board was well aware of the nature of the film and the demands of their respective roles, adding that there was no confusion about the specific parts they were meant to play. Standing in his way, he points out that what is important for a hero is to have strong, meaningful scenes, not just a high number of dialogues.
