Young all-rounder Vaibhav Sooryavanshi created history on Saturday when he became the youngest player to represent India in men’s T20Is during the second T20I against England at Old Trafford, Manchester. The 15-year-old surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s record to become the most successful Indian cricketer. While his stay at the venue was short-lived, Sooryavanshi gave fans a glimpse of his fearless batting with a quick 14 from just 10 games.Opening the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma after India opted to bat first, the youngster made a remarkable statement. His first international boundary in the ropes came against England speedster and Rajasthan Royals teammate Jofra Archer. Back to make room, Sooryavanshi received a long-on and lofted it over the wicketkeeper for six.He added another one later, launching Josh Tongue at midwicket with a powerful stroke, underscoring the aggressive intent that has made him one of India’s most promising youngsters. However, England lost again in the fifth over. Will Jacks frustrated the youngster with a smooth delivery outside off stump as Sooryavanshi went down the track looking to attack. Struck by the turn, he missed his attempt before Jos Buttler completed his leap to end the opener’s innings.
